1. Research Trips. To collect primary data, sources, and materials, project participants carried out research trips to Afghanistan, Great Britain (British Library, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, University of Cambridge), India (Delhi), Pakistan (Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore), Russia (Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Moscow), where they engaged in conducting focus groups, in-depth semi-structured interviews, consultations with researchers, library work, and archival research. The results of the research are/will be incorporated into research articles and presentations at the conference.
2. International conference within the project. As a part of the implementation of the research project, on April 5–6, 2024, the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU organized an international conference “Nation-building in South and Central Asia: Ethnicity, Religion, and Traditions.”
